Offsite Pages of Interest

Note that these links lead to offsite pages. Mountain View Terraces is not responsible for the content on these pages. These links are provided as a courtesy to owners looking for more information on condominium living. Many of the sites provide good common information, however please be aware that many of the specific problems and solutions come from across Canada. For details for Alberta see the Condominium Act.

  • For details about the Alberta Condominium Act see this page at Service Alberta Queen's Printer, which provides the most current version of the Act

  • Note that the Alberta Condominium Act is currently being updated, the last update took about 18 years and as of 2013 this set of changes have been in draft for about 3 years so it could be awhile before we have a changed Act

  • The Canadian Condominium Institute — South Alberta Chapter (CCI-SA) is the Voice of Condominiums in Canada. It is a national, independent, non-profit organization dealing exclusively with condominium issues. This link is to the South Alberta chapter

  • See the website on home security for condominium Safety Guidelines to see how we can make our community a safer place to live

  • Service Alberta has a PDF file Buying and Owning a Condominium, which provides a good overview on purchasing and living in a condominium

  • There is a website for condo living in Calgary which you may find interesting

  • The Condo Information Center for Owners and Future Owners has a number of interesting articles relating to living in a condominium complex

We hope that these links provide helpful and detailed information for owners looking for more information on condominium living. Owning and living in a condominium is a different type of lifestyle than owning and living in a home. We all live together in a community, which means that we need to respect the different needs and activities of our neighbors.

Please send me the most recent minutes and financial statements.
